Fundraising at SAPCP

Why do we need to fundraise?

Tuition covers teachers’ salaries.  Fundraising covers everything else: rent, materials, and scholarship fund. We are all in this together. Everyone is relying on each other to realize this fundraising goal so that we can keep the tuition at its current level while providing a quality program for our children. The coordination of the fundraising events and handling of monies is done by the Treasurer(s) and Fundraising Chair(s) on the SAPCP school board.  As we get closer to the event, families will get an email asking for  help. This can mean sending emails, making phone calls, setting up tables, etc. Each of these fundraisers is important and a bit of work; many hands will help disperse it all. Thanks in advance for your time and efforts this year!

What are some example fundraisers?

This fund-raiser is also a service project. In the spirit of traditional "-athons," families ask friends and neighbors to make a donation to the school, for which our families will rake the yards of a few of our elderly or disabled neighbors. It is a great way for us to connect with our community and the kids learn about the rewarding feeling of helping others.

It takes the whole preschool community to make our Fun(d)ay happen! Area businesses and preschool families and friends are asked to donate to the auction, and the parents plan activities for the event. It is truly a fun day for all families to come together and celebrate the school.

As a way to show students the value of reusing and creating less waste, our community organizes a coop yard sale with the proceeds going to support the school.
